I visited the Sri Radha Govindaji Temple today, and the temple is preparing for their annual ratha yatra this year on August 31 from 11am to 2p.m .Don’t know how they did it last year but I guess it will be great event.

The temple has bought in idols specially designed from puri and I had a darshan of lord jagannath, balarama  and subhadra.

So ,if you are visiting Edmonton do visit the temple and join in for the chariot festival in August.

The Vishnu sahasranāma means thousand names of Vishnu. It is also one of the most sacred and commonly chanted stotras in Hinduism. It is widely accepted that the chanting or listening of this Stotra gives relief from all problems,freedom from anger,and leads to happiness and peace of mind. Vishnu sahasranama is in conformity with the teachings of the BhagavadGita.

Wow,this is great news! I was there last year in Chennai  for Vaikunta Ekadasi.This time I can watch it live over the internet at http://www.sriparthasarathyswamytemple.org/live.html  on Dec 20th from 4-6am IST.The temple website reports it is a live webcast and I hope it is so!  Looking forward to watching it live today at 3.30p.m mytime.
