Yesterday night there was heavy blowing snow, and rain.Snow turned to ice today morning.It was like skating on the road like Barrington street,Springgarden etc…It is sad that the  halifax regional municipality doesn’t  bother to clean the snow turned ice on such a busy street. And by the way, the wind today evening was too much! you don’t have to walk the wind just pushes you. 

Health websites and Television Health news  talk about the goodness of fruits and vegetables ;they have lots of antioxidants,blue berries help in preventing cancer etc.etc…  So,why are healthy foods costly in Canada?   Is everyone in Canada following the food pyramid (ie) eating five to seven servings of fruits/vegetables a day? Don’t know if any research has been done.

Oh my!why did I say that the weather was great here once back from holidays.It has started to snow today,it’s winter  and there’s  snow on the ground.Anxiously awaiting the re-emergence of spring and summer soon………………

I was happy that today I didn’t  have to work and only attend a workshop in Mumford.But,it turned out be such a long day .I commute around halifax using  the Metro Transit and today  it was the first day of snow. It snowed  so much that the metro transit  schedule got delayed .There were no buses,no cabs and there was traffic confusion.I heard people saying that they waited for two hours or more   to get a connection and so I didn’t want to take the risk of waiting so walked my way back home.It was such a exhausting exercise for me walking for an hour in this puddle of rainwater and snow .Hope I never have to walk like this again!
