Looks like tirumala tirupati devasthanams have redesigned their main webpage.They have used macromedia.Looks nice.The site has a telugu panchangam  2007 etc…But I guess this main webpage will take sometime to download  even if you  have high broadband for sure.

In front of the Lord(Sri Venkateswara) all are equal. Atlast this seems to be good decision! Let’s see if this really takes effect at this temple.More details here.

I am on a visit to India and had the opportunity today to visit the tirumala tirupati temple at tirupati.I had a great darshan of the lord  but could have been better.

Having got sevatickets;they had no people to supervise the massive crowd for darshan.The queues inside the temple started as a two lane and ended up in a six lane one(with no barricades separating people)and near the entrance door people got squashed all for a minute or two darshan of the lord. Being a temple that is next to popularity to the vatican and over two lakh devotees a day ,I request TTD to do something to bring in order.A small suggestion would be to get some ideas from engineers and maybe try an attempt at moving walks like the ones at the airports.

The darshan at the Padmavathi temple was great and a pleasant one,wish to see a similar change at the hill temple soon for the lakhs of devotees that make a visit.

This is great news that I came to know only about a week ago .The Detroit Telugu Association flushed with funds is planning to build a Lord Venkateshwara Temple for Michigan worshippers. A Seven foot tall idol of the Lord is to be sculpted at Tirupati by TTD for the US .The temple foundation stone ceremony was held last month. This is great ,since it would be nice to see a Venkateswara Temple just across the border
